New Australian Visa plans for Hong Kong

On 9 July 2020, Prime Minister Hon Scott Morrison MP along with Acting Minister for Immigration, Citizenship, Migrant Services, and Multicultural Affairs Hon Alan Tudge MP declared new visa plans for Hong Kong identification holders to stay in Australia, with pathways to long-lasting residency.

In synopsis, the new plans are:

Hong Kong residents who hold a Temporary Graduate or Temporary Skilled work visa will actually want to broaden their visit by five years, with a pathway to extremely durable residency.
Current and Future understudy visa holders will be qualified for a long-term graduate visa from the finish of their examinations, with a pathway to extremely durable residency.
Future Hong Kong candidates for transitory talented visas will be furnished with a long-term visa, in view of meeting the refreshed abilities records and Labor Market Testing prerequisites.
The existing game plan will keep on applying for those candidates who study and work in local regions to assist with tending to abilities deficiencies in those areas, with pathways to extremely durable residency following 3 years.
